Bio

Artist, Writer and Expressionist, Dean Mobbs, is a contemporary multi-faceted artist / writer with enormous creative inspiration and ability. His artistic and creative prose originates from a passionate and subjective perspective that offers the viewer the opportunity to experience his artworks and writing through a different artistic realm.

His artworks consist of a variety of colour, shape and distortion utilizing multiple media varied frameworks and interpretations whilst also working to transcend a variety of life's emotional elements. The artworks created encompass the utilisation of mediums such as pen/ink drawings, photography, oils and pastels along with sculpture and collage'.

Inspiration has arrived from the many elements of life, society, spirituality and emotional well being associated with a valued, honourable and passionate approach to today's world. Developmental expressionism and abstraction provide a basis from which his creative spirit and resultant art pieces originate.

The intention of his writing pieces belies the willingness and ability to blend the subjective perspective of life experiences with the emotive and limitless bounds of the imagination. His poems and stories share these possible experiences and fantasies with the reader allowing escape into another world. His natural lyrical style provides enormous commitment for future writing works.

His academic achievements include:

  • Masters of Philosophy in the Discipline of Creative Writing (In progress) – University of Newcastle, Australia

  • Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in English and Creative Arts from the University of Newcastle, Australia

  • Bachelor of Education (Primary)(Honours) from Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, Australia

  • Qualified Chef – Commercial Cookery

Dean's fresh sense of colour, enrichment and excitement captured in his work allows for the inner you to be embraced whilst at the same time permitting individual and personal interpretations to be experienced.
